Social event to celebrate Gaol Ferry Bridge re-opening
Bristol City Council have confirmed that Gaol Ferry Bridge will re-open at 5pm on Friday 8 September and we think this is something to celebrate!
The bridge, originally opened in 1935, has been closed for just over 12 months for essential repairs. The bridge is a critical travel route across the New Cut for lots of FrANC members and other residents and visitors to Bristol besides – and we will be celebrating with a casual but friendly FrANC social.
On Friday 8 September we will meet at 5pm on the south side of Gaol Ferry Bridge to take a photo before crossing the freshly repaired bridge and heading to Junction on Wapping Wharf for a drink – all members welcome!
